Stage 2- Best bang for the buck. These set ups have been thoroughly tested on the race tracks in top professional racing with Michael Leib, Bruce Rutherford, Killy Rusk and Ronnie Goodwin. We recommend this set up for racing and recreation use. Reliability is maintained using the stock valve train. We start with the stage 1 kit and deck/mill the head and cylinder to obtain a better squish yielding more efficient combustion. The result is an amazing performance increase across the entire rpm range. A hi-compression Vertex or CP piston is highly recommended. This configuration is pump gas friendly although for the full effect we recommend Renegade SX4+ race fuel and a Vortex ignition with our proprietary maps.
